My name is Dale Edwards and I attended NCTD #10. I'm grateful and excited to be serving you as Rector for the upcoming NCTD 25 (Silver Weekend). I've been married to my wonderful wife, Christina, for 22 years and we have been blessed with a beautiful 15 year old daughter, Sarah Faith. We all serve at Faith Legacy Church in Sacramento.
I love to spend time with my wife and daughter. Most weekends we are together doing something that helps us stay connected, loving and laughing. On a personal level, I like to garden and grow fresh tomatoes to add to any salad, especially Caprese. I really enjoy bowling as well as coaching people to become better bowlers. I especially enjoy driving to the ocean, mountains, or the woods to marvel at God's creations.
When I moved from Ohio in the spring of 1998 to California, I never could have imagined what God had in store for me or how He was refining me. He brought Christina into my life six months after I moved here and we've been together ever since. In 2007, God gave us a miracle in our daughter Sarah. Until that point, I was not acknowledging God in my life, but I could not deny God's presence any longer. He reached out to me through my wife, daughter, as well as those close to us. He Rescued, Redeemed, and Reconciled me, to Him, through Jesus's work on the cross. God laid the following weekend theme verse on my heart to share with and refine you in preparation for the Men's weekend in October.
"For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins."
Colossians 1: 13-14
While God's Love, Mercy, Grace, and Faithfulness should be enough, God took it a step further and sent His son to be the instrument of Rescue, Redemption, and Reconciliation. We should rejoice in the Lord always, I say it again rejoice!
Philippians 4:4
I'm excited to share with you what God has laid on my heart for the upcoming October weekend. I truly look forward to serving God, the candidates, and the team as Rector for the NCTD 25 Silver weekend. Take Care and God Bless!
Dale Edwards -- Rector NCTD 25
God has always had His hand on my life and blessed me abundantly. I consider one of those biggest blessings to be my marriage of 35 years to the love of my life which is my wonderful husband Tom. We have a son, two daughters, a son-in-love, three grandchildren, a dog, cat, 10 chickens and a cow.
We live on a little hobby farm in Grass Valley where we preserve, dehydrate and grow food, practice archery and knife throwing as well as kayak, hike and camp.I previously worked as an Esthetician and Spa Manager for many years, worked in caregiving, as well as assisting handi-capable young adults developing life skills. A big part of life for Tom and me is attending Destiny Church in Rocklin where we are actively involved with bible studies, marriage, civics and transformation classes.
If asked to name something that has deeply impacted my spiritual life, Tres Dias comes foremost to my mind. We both attended NCTD#9 and have been humbled by the manifestation of love, grace and servitude that is always present in God’s people throughout a Tres Dias weekend. God always shows up and reveals Himself in intimates ways that are always awe-inspiring to each person there - whether team or candidate!
The theme God chose for the October Women’s weekend is “God’s fingerprint - my identity”, a look at truly claiming and living the truth of who God says we are. I look forward to seeing God unfold His immense love and overwhelming grace to the candidates and team of NCTD 25, Silver Weekend! If you aren't serving, please join us in prayer and come to send off. Will love to see you.
Cindy Evans -- Rector #25
